Using Custom Training to Meet Business Goals - Part 4, Authentic & Relevant Content

Customized training can enable learners to have better success at performing the tasks associated with newly acquired skills. Research has shown that the more relatable, familiar, and relevant the training is to an employee’s specific job, the more likely employees are to have better attitudes about the training, and to also demonstrate higher mastery and knowledge transfer in the workplace.

Improved operational effectiveness is obviously a highly valued benefit, as it increases the chance that a company can remain competitive in its respective industry. This sets the pace for increased revenue, as outlined in a Harvard Review article that states "companies that invest in workforce education enjoy increased revenue."
